The three dies of the 'One penny, Kiwi'.

 A master die and two subsidiary dies were prepared. These had easily identified differences, and for convenience are known as dies 1, 2 and 3.

1935, May 1st. Original issue on single "NZ and star" watermarked paper. Die 1.

Colours include 'Red','Carmine red' and 'Carmine pink'

1936, Temporary perforation. Single watermark.Die 1. Found in Red only.

1935, November 18. Booklet issue. Single watermark. Die 2.

 Found in 'Red' and 'Deep red'.

Booklet issue with advertising tab, 'Parisan Ties' was the only advert used.

1936 April, Change to multiple watermark. Die 3.

Found in 'Red', 'Carmine pink','Carmine red','Carmine lake' and the rarest of them all 'Red, but die 1 with a multiple watermark'

1936 March 21st. Single watermark. Die 1.
